Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K.Rowling

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was written by J.K.Rowling. This book was ublished in Britain, 2007, by Bloomsbury publishing. Cover illustrations were by Jason Cockcroft. This book is about a boy called Harry Potter who lives with his Aunt, Uncle and cousin. Little did Harry know that he was a wizard, his aunt, uncle and cousin knew but they wouldn't tell hlim because they thoguht it was too dangerous. They thought he might blow up the house. Could he do that? No because he doesn't have his wand. Next Hagrid who is half giant shows up at the Dursley's and takes him to Hogwarts. Harry befreinded a girl called Hermione and a boy called Ron. He meets his Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Quirrel wo actually has the face of the evil Lord Voldemort on the back of his head. What happens next? Read on and you will find out. At the end of the school year he has to kill Professor Quirrel to kill part of Lord Voldemort and that is exactly what he does, but before that he has to find a key that is in a room of flying keys and plays a giant game of wizard chess. After that he has to go back and live with the Dursley's until next term. My favourite part of this story was when Harry kills part of Voldemort. I would recommend it to people 7 and above because it is very exciting and will probably change your life forever. If you like it. I read it at my home. I read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone because I thought it would be exciting and fun and I was right. It is one of the best books I have ever read. Reviewed by Stephanie(9)

Heroes of Olympus: The son of Neptune by Rick Riordan

Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune is by Rick Riordan. Percy Jackson has lost his memory will he regain it? How will he get his memory back? The Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune is where Percy Jackson has lost his memory. He is guided to Camp Jupiter by Juno. While they are playing War Games Mars appears to send Percy, Hazel and Frank on a quest. They are sent to Alaska to defeat the giant Alcyoneus that Hazel partially raise in 1941. Will they defeat Alcyoneus in time to get back to Camp Jupiter to attend the Feast of Fortuna? I read this book because I had read the Percy Jackson series. I loved that series so I thought this had to be up to the standards of the rest of Rick Riordan's books. Have you read the Percy Jackson series? I read this book when I was nine turning ten, that is probably the age you should be when you read this book. How old are you? Do you like adventure books? I love adventure books. I loved this book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury publishing in 2007. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the 7th and final book in the Harry Potter series. It answers all the questions that have not been answered in the previous books such as why Snape killed Dumbledore. It also brings up a new question: Are the Dealthy Hallows real? Harry also finds out what the last horcruxes are. But a question is left at the end that doesn't get answered: what happens to Harry's children? In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry's main quest is to discover what three of horcruxes are and destroy five of them (th other two have already been destroyed). The last horcrux was a very surprising "object". I really enjoyed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In fact, it is my second favourite book in the series. My favourite part is when they're battling for Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. This book is my second favourite because I like it when Harry is out in the worl of muggles with no protection from the boundaries of Hogwarts. I recommend harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for ages 8 and older because younger readers might get scared and the book might be too long. I also recommend the book for people that have already read the rest of the series. Also, readers that like :and they all lived happily ever after: stories wouldn't like it. In fact, I reckon that unless you've read the book you shouldn't watch the movie because the movie leaves out important parts. I really liked this book a lot. It is my second favourite book of the Harry Potter series. Reveiwed by Stephen(8)

The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton

At the start there are three children Joe, Beth, and Frannie. They just moved house because their dad had a job in the country. They were very excited to explore the woods. The woods seemed different and strange until they saw some elfs having a meeting. Then an ugly gnome crept up and stole the elfs bag. Then the three children ran after the gnome then the gnome ran up the tree but they didn't go up tree becasue the gnome said not to. The next week they want to go up the tree so the next week they went up the tree they saw doors of peoples house. First they knocked at a door on the first level then Dame Washalot's water came down and Frannie got splashed she was soaking wet and crying too. Then they went to the top level and met a guy called Moon-Face. Then they went to the very very very top and they went through the Cloud it was round and round land. Reviewed by Scarlett(7)
