Halo is by Alexandra Adornetto. It is a book that I never would have read last year but now it is one of my favourite books. It is about how the friendship between Xavier and Beth grows into little something we call love. Have you ever been in love? Beth, Ivy and Gabriel were sent to Earth by God to protect the people of Venus Cove from the gathering forces of darkness. Beth is sent to high school where she meets Xavier Woods who she is immediately taken to. A couple of weeks later when Beth and Xavier are dating they go to the beach where Beth reveals her secret. She is an angel. Their lives were about to change drastically and there was nothing they could do about it. The reason for their lives to change so drastically was the new, hot and mysterious stranger at Venus Cove High called Jake. The angels and Xavier figure out that Jake is a demon sent by Lucius, a fallen angel also known as the King of Hell. Jake kidnaps Beth for information but together Beth and Xavier defeat Jake with their love for each other. At the end of the book they find out that Jake is still alive! I love this book because it was supernatural with a bit of romance thrown in. I could not put it down, I just wanted to keep on reading, it was that good! I recommend this book for people that love supernatural and love books. It is probably best for 12 to 16 year olds. ENJOY! Reviewed by Alexandra(11)
